PRESIDENTE
URIBE CULMINÓ VISITA A WASHINGTON
- El mandatario reitera la importancia
del Tratado de Libre Comercio para Colombia
El presidente Álvaro Uribe Vélez culminó este viernes su viaje a la capital de los Estados Unidos, la cual entre otros objetivos busca facilitar la aprobación del TLC, y explicar la aplicación
de la Ley de Justicia y paz.
Durante
su visita a Washington, el Jefe de Estado sostuvo reuniones
con el presidente de los Estados Unidos, George W. Bush;
el secretario de Comercio, Carlos Gutiérrez; la
representante de Comercio, Susan Schwab; y la presidenta
de la Cámara de Representantes de ese país,
Nancy Pelosi, entre otros congresistas, así como
otras actividades que le permitieron también el
diálogo con John Sweeney, Presidente de AFL-CIO,
el mayor sindicato de Estados Unidos.
